i really want to drift away from the new age meditation stuff ive been doing. i think im gonna get a rosary.

im on my 505 consective rosary...But. ...here is but part..............its not biblical.. some guy came up with it an made it up. So how do we honestly with out a doubt know its ok to pray to Mary, that its not worshipping other idols etc etc..........im playing devils advocate here. Obviously there are some miracles associated to the rosary.. Lady Fatima said pray it.. Medajugorjie said to pray it.........but its still all kind of hearsay......right? lOL let the debate begin! Honestly I need some better answers to rubutal my well meaning protestant friends worried about my soul.

Where win the Bible does it say any of this? These are just excuses to justify your Pagan Worship.

This hurts me as a Freemason. I want to be catholic and there is so much disinformation about Freemasons. All we do is help our fellow man. We all have a belief and closeness to god. Amen 🙏 I used to hate praying the Rosary growing up. As I learned more about the history of our faith, my whole world flipped. I now cannot let a day pass without praying the Rosary. It is the weapon against the snares of the devil. It’s our help to deepen our relationship with Jesus through Mary, the Queen of Heaven.

I'm 25 and have struggled to read the bible, even though I started to go to churches 10 years ago. Why? I couldn't find a reason to. Protistans would simply say "because that's it! It's the bible, why wouldnt you read it?" Only after discovering Catholicism did the context of the bible make sense, and give me a reason to open it and study it diligently.

One thing I notice about this Mass is that it is shorter than some Novus Ordo masses I have attended. The problem begins when some of the unneeded pleasantaries by the priest during the beginning and then some of them preach lengthy sermons. And then there is this choirs that sing modern songs, mostly praise and worship songs lifted from the Protestants.

I acknowledge that Mary was special because she gave birth to the Son Of God. But I wonder how Catholic’s respond to 1 Timothy 2:5-6. If there is only ONE mediator between us and God (and that’s Jesus Christ), then what’s the point in asking Mary to intercede for us? Why not go directly to Jesus himself since he’s our mediator? Do Catholics’s believe that Jesus is not capable of hearing each and every prayer out there? Considering He is God?

Should we make the sign of the cross in a protestant church or at a protestant funeral? I would like to know your thoughts on this.

Let me bring you and this fool up to date a little. 1) Decree of the Council of Toulouse (1229 CE) Forbade roman catholics to own books of the Old or New Testament. 2) Ruling of the Council of Taraagona (1234 CE) Forbade owning of the Old or New Testament in romance languages. Any such books must be returned to the church for burning. 3) Proclamation of the Council of Constance (1415 CE John Wycliffe was condemned for translating the Bible into English. Wycliffe was condemned by Arundel, Bishop of Canterbury and his body was exhumed, burned and thrown into the Swift River 4) William Tyndale in 1536 CE was burned at the stake by the roman catholic church for translating the Bible into English. The roman catholic church forbade owning or reading the Bible 5) In 1215 Pope Innocent III commanded that anyone engaging in translating or reading the Bible would be brought to trial and punished. Other Popes that restricted owning, reading or translating the Bible are: Pope Leo X 1513-1521 Pope Clement VIII 1592-1605 Pope Benedict XIV 1740-1758 Pope Leo XII 1823-1829 Pope Gregory XVI 1831-1846 Pope Pius IX 1846-1878 Pope Leo XIII 1878-1903 The Council of Trent 1546 The roman catholic church has banned or restricted the reading of the Bible for 1,000 years. The reason is that the church does not want catholics to know what is in it.
